The kidnaping cases have different backgrounds but mostly the kidnapers had some sort of mental disorder that made them so things as gross as kidnaping someone and torturing them.

1. Masha

The story of Masha is very heart touching as she was not just a child who was kidnaped in a very awkward way and abused. She was in a Russian orphanage from where she was adopted by an American man Matthew Mancuso, unfortunately after her adoption there were no visits made to make sure that the child was alright. More over even at the time of adoption no background checks were made of the man and his conduct. The only information about him was that he was a divorced man and wanted to adopt a child.

She was just 5 when she was adopted and just after the adoption he started abusing her physically and not just that he started using her in child pornography and not in limited films but she was so much in the child pornography that police started searching for the poor child. The police after watching so much abuse with her started investigating and taking clues from the films which led to the man and finally Masha was rescued by police. The case was taken so seriously that after just 3 months she was rescued. Masha has filed a law suit and her adoptive father is sentences to jail for child pornography and child rape both. These kidnaping stories are mind disturbing.

2. David Pelzer

Born in 1960 David Pelzer is an author, he found his only way to express what he has been through by his words. Pelzer’s best work is his own story about child abuse known as “A Child Called It” , it was infect his first book and received huge response because his true emotions couldn’t let people ignore his words. The book explains how his mother use to make him starve and make him drink ammonia, she even stabbed him in the stomach and made him drink his own vomit.

His father played no role in taking action against all his violence. Pelzer had awkward relations with his mother since childhood where he was beaten and abused, this was not just a normal case soon his teachers stepped into the matter and he was taken to a foster care. Apparently his mother was alcoholic but use to beat up only David from all of her children. David joined Us Air force when he turned 18 and led a relatively normal life from there on.

3. Elizabeth Fritzel One of Heart Wrenching Kidnaping Stories

This is again another case which would be listed as kidnaping; the point is it is not always you enemies who become cruel to you sometimes your own people show up being the faces behind the cruelty. Elizabeth was kept locked up in a basement since child hood and for a time period of 24 years.  Her story is more serious and beyond the imagination of a normal person and makes you think what kind of mental unrest would make you do it for a period of 24 years and not once you realized that you were doing wrong.

Elizabeth was kept locked and continuously physically and sexually raped by her father which resulted in birth of 4 children who were raised by her father Josef Fritzl and his wife. Elizabeth was recovered when her eldest daughter had serious lungs condition and Josef had to take her to the hospital and gave a confusing story to the doctors later he had to bring Elizabeth to the hospital after long twisted stories where she had to be taken by the police and she told all her story and Josef was charged with all his crimes at the age of 75. Josef made up stories regarding the kids being born by Elizabeth that he found them abandoned and wants to raise them.

4. Steven Stayner

Steven Styner was kidnapped when he was 7 and he was kept hostage for almost 7 years and then he returned to his family. His kidnapper Kenneth Parnell not just kidnaped Steven but also made him believe that he has hid legal custody. Steven was sexually abused and was also enrolled in school. It was when Parnell kidnapped another boy and Steven along with this other boy escaped from there. Steven’s case became so much famous that a film was also made on his true story called “ I Know my name is Steven”.

5. Natascha Kampusch

Natacha was abducted by her kidnapper Wolfgang Priklopil. She was abducted for almost 8 years when one day she escaped. Natascha was kidnapped at the age of 10 and ran away when she was 18, she gained a lot of media attention and she also wrote an autobiography called 3096 days. Natascha earlier from her kidnaping was not in a very healthy environment as her parents were already separated and just after her kidnap they were divorced. She even had her passport with her when she was kidnapped as she just returned to her mother’s place after holidays. Natacha explained the time of her captivity saying that all this time she was kept in a small dungeon which was also sound proof. Initially she has to be there all the time latter she was allowed to be in the upper portion of the home freely when Prillopil was at home.

She later was also allowed to be in the garden area as well. She explains that all this time she was given books to educate herself and was forced to do the entire household for the kidnapper she also admitted that she was raped several times by him. She was also allowed to have outdoor trips where she tried to gain some attention by people but all of that in vain. She escaped when she was cleaning the kidnaper’s car while he received a phone call. With the noise of the vacuum cleaner she ran to the nearest police station and the kidnapper committed suicide when he found out that the police was looking for him.

6. John Jamelske

John Jamelske was based in DeWitt and was a serial kidnapper and rapist. His kidnaping stories also got media fame and attention as his story was the character of Jamie Gumm in Silence of the Lambs. He was apprehended in 2003. Jamelske use to keep girls abducted in a small dungeon under his home and sexually abuse them and also free them. Jamelske was caught when he made his last kidnap and kept her with him and also took her for outings on her 2nd trip she slipped and made a call to her sister, the sister traced the id and called back an employee picked up the phone when she asked him to call 9 11.

The employee rather called his boss who was supposed to meet Jamelske and told him about the kidnaping stories he came to know about him. The boss informed the police and was arrested at his home when he left with the girl to his home.

7. Michael Devlin

Such kidnaping stories are heart wrenching but when these kidnaping stories have an ending of capturing the criminal they give you some sort of satisfaction as well. Micheal Devlin is one of these horrifying kidnaping stories which will shock your souls. He not just kidnapped young boys but also sexually abused them and used them in child pornography. He was arrested as a result of his mini truck which matched the description of a vehicle involved in abductions. When investigated policed found 2 boys who were reported to be lost, Shawn Hornbeck and Ben Ownby. The boys have been reunited with their families but the kidnaping stories leave impact.

8. Genie

Ginie spent first 13 years of her life locked in a room. Her parents were mentally disturbed which is very clear in such kidnaping stories that normal people don’t do stuff like that. At a very early age she was diagnosed with a problem of slow mental development. She was tortured and made to be in horrible situations due to keeping her isolated she couldn’t even speak as there was no exposure to someone talking. When she was 13 her mother escaped and took her along. She was made to spend entire day tied to a potty chair and at night was made to sleep in a bag which was covered with a metal crib. 9. Colleen Stan

Collen Stan was a woman who was kidnapped by Cameron Hooker in California in 1977. Out of all the kidnaping stories this particular one was so much designed. She was held captured for 8 years and was sexually abused and was made to believed that she is kidnapped by a large group of people called “ The Company” and that her family is watched and will be harmed if she tries to flee. She was brain washed by hooker so much that he wanted he wanted her to be his second wife she was allowed to do job but all the secrets came out when hooker wanted to have 4 more slaves. She also had a book written on her name. She told police that she wanted hooker to change and give him a chance but he didn’t seem to be changing. Such kidnaping stories totally change your perception about human beings.

10. Fusako Sano

This is one of the kidnaping stories when the kids are kidnapped and kept captive for years and when they escape they lack the ability to adjust in normal things. The girl was kidnapped at the age of 9 and was kept for 9 years in lock. She was abducted in 4thgrade and when free also behaved like a child. She was discovered when the kidnapper’s mother asked public health service to visit as her child Nobuyuki Satō (the kidnapper) was behaving weird. Upon the visit things got out of control the police had to come and recovered Fusaku who was very weak due to no exposure to sun, no proper diet and jaundice. Such kidnaping stories should be brought into light to be addressed by society.
